The Kenya Community Support Center (KECOSCE) was founded in 2006 and has been working in the coastal region of Kenya, it was established to address democratic governance, socio‐economic and youth concerns with a focus on the coast of Kenya.
Executive Director
The main purpose of Kenya Community Support Center (KECOSCE) is to promote and facilitate institutionalization of the values and practices of good governance at all levels of society as a basis for sustainable social‐economic development. The organization is registered in Kenya by the government as a Non‐Governmental Organization under Section 10 of the Non‐Governmental Organizations Coordination Act vide certificate number OP.218/051/2006/0324/4307 dated 6th September, 2006. KECOSCE takes recognizance of the fact that the majorities of citizens have not been recognized or effectively involved in public policy processes that impact on their social, economic and political lives.

KECOSCE VISION AND MISSION STATEMENT:
"A free, just and democratically governed society that upholds progressive equality. Our mission is to facilitate an equitable and secure society by promoting Peaceful coexistence, good governance and sustainable social‐economic development at the national and local level".
GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT
KECOSCE is governed by a seven member board of directors who are the police making organ of the organization. The board provides strategic leadership and guidance for effective and efficient management of the center.
THE MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE KECOSCE
KECOSCE has established a secretariat based in Mombasa headed by the Executive Director supported by a team of self driven, motivated staff who implement its programmes. The Center promotes volunteerism and works with volunteers who offer on‐the‐ground services to support its projects through mobilization, stimulating initiatives that bring desired socio‐political and economic change at the local level.

Our approach is conflict sensitive, human rights oriented marked by deep respect and support for those we work with. We should be interested enough to listen carefully to what people say and think, feel, and want. CURRENT OPERATION AREA
KECOSCE currently operates in the six counties of the Coast region namely Taita Taveta, Kwale, Mombasa, Kilifi, Tana River and Lamu. The target population is approximately 3,325,307 comprising of 1,656,679 Male and 1,668,628 female. The youthful population accounts for 60% of the total population and the people with disabilities account for approximately 3.5%. The counties populations are as follows:

Mensen met een Missie (people with a Mission) herein referred as MMM is a Dutch Non-Governmental Organisation. MMM has been working with civil society and faith based organisations in Kenya for a long time providing support to partner organizations to participate more actively and have a stronger voice in political processes at different societal levels. Kenya Community Support Centre (KECOSCE) is one of the Non Governmental Organisations based in the Coast of Kenya which has benefitted from this support since 2008 to date. The support has enabled the organisation to implement projects which have contributed to the current new political dispensation in Kenya. One of the outstanding grievances in the coast has been the frustration amongst the youthful population’s
failure to get identification cards. The claims amongst the youth are the government’s bureaucratic process, the vetting process by provincial administration and the low level of awareness amongst the youth on the process of acquiring identification cards.

The identification card is an important document as it not only provides one with the feeling of true
citizenship but also enables one to transact businesses, access loans, initiate businesses, open a bank account and above all, participate in the election of leaders and decision making organs in their locality and at national level.......read more

The main purpose of this position is to facilitate better collaboration between KECOSCE and multi-stakeholders and effective resource mobilization for the organization.
